Men's Circles & Support
"I believe that every man carries a quiet strength within him, and that in the right circle, that strength becomes wisdom, connection, and real change."
Facilitated by Steffen Lindner, bringing over 25 years of lived experience as both a member and leader in international and New Zealand men’s work.
Men's Group (Ages 25–35)
Identity, Direction, Emotional Strength & Belonging
This younger men’s group offers a steady, supportive space for men navigating early adulthood: identity, relationships, work pressure, emotional patterns, and the search for direction. Grounded in honest conversation, gentle embodiment, and practical emotional tools, this group helps men develop steadiness, clarity, and a stronger sense of self.
- Identity and direction
- Relationship patterns and communication
- Emotional literacy and regulation
- Purpose, values, and life choices
- Belonging, brotherhood, and support
Fortnightly, 2 hours • Small group, confidential, facilitated by Steffen Lindner
Men's Group (Ages 35–59)
Responsibility, Partnership, Fatherhood, Work Stress & Midlife Transitions
This group supports men in the middle years of life, often the most demanding and complex stage. Men in this age range carry responsibilities: partnership, fatherhood, career pressure, financial stress, ageing parents, and the quiet question of “Is this the life I want to be living?” Through systemic dialogue, embodied practices, and shared wisdom, men learn to navigate challenges with more steadiness, clarity, and emotional resilience.
- Partnership and relationship repair
- Fatherhood challenges and family dynamics
- Work stress, burnout, and identity
- Midlife transitions and reorientation
- Emotional steadiness and resilience
- Building one’s “inner kingdom”
Fortnightly, 2 hours • Small group, confidential, facilitated by Steffen Lindner
Men's Group (Ages 60+: The King Group)
Wisdom, Legacy, Belonging, Health Transitions & Meaning
The King Group is a dedicated circle for senior men, offering a place of companionship, reflection, humour, and shared wisdom. Men in this life stage often face transitions: retirement, changing identity, health concerns, loss, and the deep work of reviewing one’s life story. Through conversation, embodied practices, and systemic reflection, men reconnect with inner strength, dignity, and companionship.
- Life review and meaning
- Wisdom sharing and mentorship
- Belonging, companionship, and community
- Health transitions and emotional steadiness
- Legacy, contribution, and inner peace
Fortnightly, 2 hours • Warm, confidential circle facilitated by Steffen Lindner

Therapeutic Approaches & Methodology
Steffen integrates evidence-based psychological modalities tailored to your unique circumstances:

Client-Centred Therapy
Empowering Authentic Growth
Places the client at the heart of the therapeutic journey. Rather than diagnosing or prescribing, Steffen creates a non-judgemental, deeply empathetic environment where you discover your innate capacity for self-healing and personal agency.
Gestalt Therapy
Embracing the Whole Self in the Present Moment
Focuses on experiencing thoughts, bodily sensations, and emotional patterns in real time. Steffen organises and utilises creative experiential techniques, including dialogue experiments and the "empty chair", to help you move from feeling "stuck" into empowered choice.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Reshaping Thought Patterns & Behaviour
A structured, goal-directed method exploring the interplay between thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and actions. Steffen helps clients identify cognitive distortions and replace self-limiting scripts with realistic, empowering perspectives.
Mindfulness (MBSR) Methodology
Cultivating Calm, Non-Judgemental Awareness & Nervous System Ease
Integrates Jon Kabat-Zinn’s evidence-based Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) methodology with somatic nervous system regulation. Steffen guides you through mindful breathwork, body-scan inquiry, and present-moment grounding to interrupt automatic cycles of stress, anxiety, and mental rumination. By learning to observe inner sensations without judgment, you cultivate steady emotional resilience and sustainable inner peace.
Positive Psychotherapy
A Strength-Based Path to Healing
As a member of the New Zealand Association of Positive Psychology (NZAPP), Steffen focuses not only on relieving suffering, but on cultivating what makes life deeply fulfilling: meaning, positive relationships, and character strengths.
Family Systemic Constellations & Satir
Transforming Relational Patterns Across Generations
Systemic constellation work is a reflective process to explore relationship patterns and support well-being. It is not a medical diagnosis, mental health treatment or substitute for professional care.
Key Differences: Counselling vs. Psychotherapy
Both modalities are tailored to your unique circumstances:
Action-Oriented & Problem-Solving
Helps people identify immediate challenges, life crises, and relationship roadblocks, encouraging positive, practical steps toward resolution.
Deep Understanding & Root Healing
Addresses psychological patterns and emotional blocks formed over years, exploring unconscious relational patterns and long-standing wounds.
A Time & Location to Suit Your Needs
Therapy sessions can be booked at flexible times to suit your individual or group needs, including after hours and weekends.
