Anger Management & Emotional Regulation
A calm, non-judgemental space to understand and transform anger.
Anger is a natural human emotion, but when it becomes overwhelming, unpredictable, or damaging to relationships, it can feel frightening and isolating. Many people carry anger not because they are "angry people," but because they are carrying stress, hurt, exhaustion, trauma, or long-standing patterns of protection.
"In my practice, anger is never judged. It is understood."
I offer a safe, steady, and confidential space where you can explore your anger with clarity and compassion, without fear of criticism or shame.
Professional Anger Management Training & Expertise
I am a trained Anger Management Facilitator and worked for Family Safety in Thames, supporting men referred by Police and community agencies. This included both one-on-one anger management sessions and facilitated men’s groups, with regular professional supervision.
This Experience Allows Me to Support People Struggling With:
Sudden Outbursts
Explosive reactions that feel hard to control or predict.
Simmering Resentment
Internalised bitterness, tension, and brooding irritation.
Emotional Shutdown
Stonewalling or withdrawing into quiet disconnection.
Conflict in Relationships
Destructive arguments with partners, children, or family.
Frustration at Work or Home
Chronic impatience and reactivity under daily demands.
Trauma-Linked Anger
Reactions driven by past hurt, boundary violations, or unresolved pain.
How I Support You
Anger often has a story behind it. Together we gently explore:
Body Awareness & Pre-Triggers
Identifying what happens in your nervous system and body (tension, breath, heat) before anger rises, creating a crucial pause window.
Uncovering Root Causes
Examining what triggers your anger and how stress, exhaustion, hurt, or past experiences unconsciously fuel the fire.
Slowing Emotional Escalation
Learning concrete, actionable grounding techniques to interrupt the automatic cycle of reactivity before it damages relationships.
Constructive Communication
Developing the courage and vocabulary to express boundaries, needs, and feelings honestly without exploding or withdrawing.
Building Steadiness & Self-Trust
Transforming shame into self-respect. Rebuilding trust in yourself and offering predictable safety to those you care about.
Confidential & Non-Judgemental
Whether self-referred or seeking support following community/agency recommendations, your sessions are private and respectful.
A Different Pace of Engagement
Anger work is most effective when it is gentle and paced, not rushed. Many clients discover that once anger is understood and softened, deeper layers of their inner world become accessible, including grief, fear, unmet needs, or old wounds.
This can naturally lead into deeper therapy or trauma work, always at your pace and with full respect for your boundaries.
Who This Is For
No judgement. No pressure. Just a safe place to understand yourself more deeply.
