Grief Counselling & Bereavement Support

A calm, grounded space where you can arrive exactly as you are.

Grief is part of being human. In my practice, it is welcomed as a natural response to change, loss, and the moments when life shifts in ways we did not expect. I offer a calm, grounded space where you can arrive exactly as you are: overwhelmed, hopeful, frightened, angry, numb, or unsure. Nothing needs to be hidden or made smaller. Every expression of grief belongs.

"Grief is not something to fix; it is something to honour, understand, and walk through with support."

Clinical Foundations

Where My Understanding of Grief Began

My own understanding of grief began early in my life. As a young man working in the Department of Oncology at the University Clinic Düsseldorf, I witnessed how illness can reshape a person’s world in a single moment.

Sitting with patients and families taught me that grief begins long before death: it begins with diagnosis, with uncertainty, with change. These experiences shaped the foundation of how I work today: with compassion, clarity, and deep respect for the person in front of me.

Compassion & Dignity

Meeting each person at eye level, honouring human dignity when life feels stripped back to what is raw and essential.

Clarity in Uncertainty

Providing a steady, calm anchor when medical, relational, or personal realities shift unexpectedly underneath your feet.

Deep Respect for the Person

Respecting your unique timing, your beliefs, and your inner strength without imposing preconceived stages or clinical agendas.

Therapeutic Method

Gentle, Relational & Embodied Support

My approach to grief work is gentle, relational, and embodied. We slow down together. We listen to what the body carries, to what feels heavy, tight, or tender. I draw on mindfulness, systemic awareness, and a steady therapeutic presence to help you meet your experience without rushing or forcing anything.

Listening to the Body

Grief is a somatic experience. We notice what feels heavy in the chest, tight in the throat, or exhausted in the limbs, allowing the nervous system space to unwind and breathe.

Systemic Awareness

Loss ripples across families, partnerships, and communities. We explore how relationships shift, honouring invisible loyalties and creating room for open understanding.

Paced Without Pressure

There are no timelines you must meet, no artificial stages to cross off, and no expectation to "move on." We move at the speed of your emotional safety.

Every Expression Belongs

What We Welcome in Grief Work

Grief touches far more than physical bereavement. It arises whenever life changes course without our consent. In this space, all expressions of loss are acknowledged:

Bereavement & Loss of Loved Ones

Losing a partner, child, parent, sibling, friend, or cherished companion.

Illness & Anticipatory Grief

Facing a serious diagnosis, progressive changes, or caring for someone with declining health.

Relationship Endings & Divorce

The mourning of shared plans, family unity, trust, and future visions.

Loss of Health, Vitality or Identity

Navigating injury, chronic condition, career transitions, or retirement shifts.

Migration & Cultural Dislocation

Grieving distance from family, familiar culture, language, and ancestral landscape.

Disenfranchised & Unspoken Grief

Losses that society often overlooks: miscarriage, estrangement, or silent heartbreaks.

An Open Invitation

You Do Not Have to Walk This Landscape Alone

Grief work with me is an invitation to bring your whole self. Together we explore what has been lost, recognise what remains, and reconnect with meaning, dignity, and inner strength.
