Systemic Family Constellation Work
A practical, structured method to understand and explore hidden generational patterns.
Systemic Family Constellation work is a practical method that helps people understand how family patterns, roles, and generational influences shape their lives today. It is a reflective process, not a mystical one; it is a clear, systemic approach developed and refined in Germany.
Many people discover that they carry responsibilities, emotions, or expectations that began long before their own lifetime. Constellation work makes these hidden dynamics visible, often bringing clarity, relief, and new possibilities for change.

My Background in German Systemic Practice
I first encountered Family Constellation work 25 years ago in Germany, where the method has its roots. I trained in the traditional German systemic approach, including a yearlong learning group and assistant work with a constellation therapist.
As a German practitioner, I bring a grounded, structured, reflective style to this work, a perspective that is sometimes different from how constellation work is used by some therapists in New Zealand.
25+ Years Experience
Formed directly in Germany where the systemic constellation method originated and was refined across clinical institutions.
Grounded & Structured
Clear, observable relational systems. No esoteric assumptions, no mysticism: just practical clarity about human dynamics.
Formal Apprenticeship
Completed dedicated yearlong learning groups and hands-on assistant facilitation alongside seasoned German constellation therapists.
When Constellation Work Can Help
Constellation work is especially useful when people feel stuck in patterns that don’t seem logical. It is particularly helpful when someone senses:
Repeating Relationship Difficulties
Finding yourself in recurring conflict, emotional distance, or identical relationship patterns despite sincere efforts.
Carrying Weight That Isn’t Yours
Carrying emotional heaviness, worry, or sadness that does not seem to belong to your personal life story.
Feeling Responsible for Others
An overwhelming compulsion to rescue, protect, or carry emotional burdens for parents, partners, or siblings.
Struggling with Boundaries
Difficulty setting clear limits, feeling guilty when prioritising yourself, or feeling invaded in close relationships.
Feeling Disconnected from Family
Unresolved estrangement, deep loneliness within the family circle, or feeling like an outsider in your own lineage.
Inner Conflict or Loyalty Tensions
Feeling torn between your own life direction and invisible loyalties to family traditions, parents, or past events.
Ways This Work Can Be Explored
In the German tradition, constellation work is experienced in different formats depending on how deeply someone wants to explore. These formats allow you to engage at the level that feels right for you, from a first introduction to long-term deeper exploration:
Individual Therapeutic Sessions
One-on-one systemic sessions utilising floor anchors, systemic figurines, and guided dialogue. Ideal for private exploration without a group.
Introduction Workshops
A gentle, low-pressure introduction to how constellation work operates. Learn how representative perception functions and observe live systemic dynamics.
Weekend Workshops
Comprehensive 1-day or weekend immersion where participants can place their own personal constellation or experience the deep healing of serving as a representative.
Committed Yeargroups
A closed, dedicated cohort that meets regularly over time to explore deeper layers of systemic patterns, generational knots, and sustained personal transformation.
